After a power-packed trailer, the makers of "Sultan" are gearing up for the release of the first song "Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai." As a sneak peek, the team shared a still on social media from the dance number.
The question now is, will Shah Rukh Khan feature in it? A while ago, a picture of SRK leaning forward to hug Salman on the sets of "Sultan" went viral. In it, the clothes Salman had on are the ones from the song that is to release on Tuesday. A guest appearance was always on the cards, until a few days ago when sources claimed that the cameo had been chopped off.
"Shah Rukh Khan is not making an appearance in Sultan. Why should he? Do you think it would make sense to waste such an opportunity to bring them together?," a source asked Deccan Chronicle.
Before this happened, a source told DNA that SRK will be appearing as himself in the film; it is a script demand. "When he was on the set, they recorded bits of the actors interacting, possibly for the making of the film. Later, the team decided to incorporate those bits in the film. There's a scene in Sultan, which requires a celebrity to meet Salman. The team came up with the idea to include SRK's footage for that scene," the insider added.
"Baby Ko Bass Pasand" has been sung by Vishal Dadlani, Shalmali Kholgade and Badshah. Choreopgraphed by Farah Khan, the dance number features catchy tunes and is a mix of Punjabi and Hip Hop, reported BollywoodLife.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the sports-drama film follows the story of Sultan Ali Khan, a wrestler based out of Haryana. It is about his struggles, both inside and away from the ring. Anushka Sharma, who plays Sultan's love interest in the film, is also a wrestler.
Scheduled to open in theatres on Eid, "Sultan" stars Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh in key roles.
