Salman Khan's upcoming movie "Sultan" will also feature "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" director Kabir Khan in a special appearance. Kabir has confirmed about his acting debut in Salman's sports drama.
"It's not a full-fledged role. Just a small appearance for fun," SKJ Bollywood News quoted Kabir as saying. It has also been reported that it is Salman himself who had asked Kabir to do a cameo in "Sultan" and the director agreed.
"No one says no to Salman. When he suggested Kabir do a small part in 'Sultan,' Kabir agreed. As it is, he has to play himself in the film. Salman had similarly convinced his pal Sajid Nadiadwala to turn director for 'Kick,'" the report quoted a source as saying.
Salman and Kabir first worked together in the movie "Ek Tha Tiger" and then the duo collaborated for another blockbuster "Bajrangi Bhaijaan." Now, apart from Kabir's cameo in "Sultan," the director and actor are once again set to collaborate for another movie that will reportedly revolve around India and China.
It has also been reported that Salman will be seen opposite a Chinese actress in the film. Salman Khan films COO, Amar Butala had earlier told the Catch News, "Firstly, this is not a part of Indo-China treaty. Yes, we are looking to rope in Chinese actors for the film, but I can't divulge into further details."
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, "Sultan" will present Salman in the role of a wrestler from Haryana. Slated to be released on Eid, the movie also features Anushka Sharma. The teaser of "Sultan" was released recently and received overwhelming response from the audience.
