As Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma's "Sultan" nears completion, an intriguing on-set image has gone viral on social media. The one in question features the lead pair in a wrestling ring.
So far both the actors have posed together for two posters that highlight the softer side of their relationship, but the new one is more about what takes centre-stage in the action-drama.
Early March, there was a strong buzz how there's a scene, in which the leading lady will plant a tight one on Salman's face, but turns out there's not much truth in it. A source told DNA that no one would ever dare to slap the superstar.
"Anushka doesn't slap Salman Bhai at any point in the film. We don't know where this buzz started. Like many of the rumours floating around about Sultan this is a part of the mythology being built by Salman's fans for his wrestler's part," the insider added. The only conflict the two have is within the roped enclosure.
Salman, who plays a Haryana-based wrestler, is apparently working nights to wrap up the project as scheduled. The 50-year-old has put in his all to make sure his performance comes out well. From taking mixed martial arts lessons to following a strict diet, he has done it all.
Anushka isn't too far behind with her preparations for the role. She trained six weeks with real wrestlers to master their body language. "Anushka's dedicated six weeks' wrestling programme has drastically changed her body language and has also transformed her body into a very authentic looking wrestler," director Ali Abbas Zafar told IANS.
Scheduled for an Eid release, the film may lock horns with Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees" at the box-office.
