Salman Khan's "Sultan" is gradually gathering steam, and at the centre of it is the most asked question – who will be his leading lady?
Several names, including Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukone, were reportedly being considered, but it appears that it is going to be Anushka Sharma.
"Salman and Anushka have never been paired together in a film before. The film is supposed to start by November this year, by which time Anushka will complete the first schedule of Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in London. Ali Abbas Zafar is already into pre-production as he is in Los Angeles meeting Hollywood stunt/fight coordinator Larnell Stoval (Max Steel, Undisputed 3)," the DNA reported quoting a source.
Earlier, there were talks of Kangana joining Salman Khan in his journey as an onscreen wrestler. But the actress reportedly backed out realising she will not be able to call the shots. However, she did express her interest in working with Yash Raj Films in future.
Interestingly, the buzz now is Salman is not too pleased with the way Kangana bowed out of the project after giving her nod.
In other news, "Sultan" has been having a few more problems. Living up to his clothing line – 'Being Human' – Salman had to give up on locations blocked for his film for his friend Aamir Khan.
According to reports, the film was supposed to be shot in Punjab and Haryana. Considering Aamir's "Dangal" too will be shooting in those areas, Salman took a step back finalising Karjat as the final relocation.
"Salman takes a step back for friend Aamir. The shoot of Dangal that started in Haryana and other locations across Punjab is reserved for Salman's buddy now. The actor will shoot for his wrestling film in Karjat to avoid replication," an insider informed Pinkvilla.
