After the success of "NH10," Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is set to appear in her next production flick as well. Titled "Phillauri," the actress will share screen space with Punjabi sensation Diljit Dosanjh in this project.
The "Sultan" actress is co-producing the film with Fox Star Studios, which is currently flying high with the success of "Neerja." The movie "Phillauri" is reportedly an uncommon love story with full of humour.
Directed by debutant Anshai Lal, the film will also feature the "Life Of Pi" actor Suraj Sharma and the movie is set in Phillaur, Punjab. "It took almost 100 years, a crazy Punjabi wedding and rank strangers to complete a love story; that, in a gist, is 'Phillauri.' Now what takes 100 years? What could be the story? That you need to keep guessing," Anushka told Hindustan Times.
"It's got tons of humour, fun and drama as its backdrop. We, at Clean Slate, are very excited about this co-production with Fox Star Studios and promise an entertaining ride in the theatres to our audience," she added.
The film goes on floors in April this year and Anushka took to Twitter to announce her next film. "Happy 2 announce our next production venture - PHILLAURI, with @foxstarhindi & coâï¸ing@diljitdosanjh,Suraj Sharma," she tweeted.
Currently, the actress is busy with other Bollywood projects. She will be seen in a tough avatar opposite Salman Khan in "Sultan." After a long search, the makers of the film finalised Anushka for the role. According to the recent reports, Anushka and Salman will be seen fighting with real life wrestlers in the flick.
Anushka will also be seen in Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Fawad Khan. The film is said to be a love triangle.
