Salman Khan has offered to play a part in a Marathi film. Titled "Mauli," the Nishikant Kamat directorial stars Riteish Deshmukh in the lead.
"Salman Khan is very dear friend of mine and he is a very generous actor. He offered to be a part of my next Marathi film and I am very grateful for that. We are working on it, and you might get to see him a Marathi film again," Riteish told Catch News. "Mauli" will go on the floors this November.
This isn't surprising because Salman had done a cameo in Riteish' "Lai Bhaari."
Salman seems to be in the mood to make special appearances lately. If rumours are to be believed, he has agreed to feature in a promotional song of Ajay Devgn's "Shivaay."
On the work front, Riteish is busy with "Great Grand Masti" promotions. The movie was previously set to arrive in theatres on July 22, but will now release a week before, courtesy the online leak of its censor copy. Directed by Indra Kumar, the adult-comedy features Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani and Urvashi Rautela in significant roles.
Salman will begin Kabir Khan's "Tubelight" (it is expected to release on Eid 2017) in a few days' time. Apparently, the unit is all geared to shoot across Ladakh. The makers are yet to decide on the film's leading lady. Some say they are looking for a Chinese actress, others speculate that it could be Deepika Padukone.
After the "Sultan" star has wrapped up Kabir's film, he will take up Rajkumar Santoshi's untitled project, for which Katrina Kaif may be roped in.
