"Suits" season 5 premiered last week, and it definitely set a new tone to the legal drama series. Harvey (Gabriel Macht), who was always shown as the alpha male, the man who has it all together, is seen struggling with panic attacks and even failure. However, towards the end of "Denial", he has accepted that Donna (Sarah Rafferty) has left him for good.
In episode 2 "Compensation", Harvey will look for Donna's replacement. Although a new replacement could never take Donna's place in Harvey's life, fans can at least hope to see someone who shares a good rapport with him, because she is definitely going to stick around for most of the season.
During an interview with Yahoo News, series creator Aaron Korsh had revealed, "I love the new Donna. Her name is not Donna, it's Gretchen, and the person he chooses is sort of in reaction to what's happened between the two of them. He doesn't want to recreate the same situation. She develops as a character throughout the year, and I really am enjoying her presence."
Gretchen also needs to prove that she is efficient, so that Harvey can start stepping up his game, because people are starting to question the way he work. A partner of Pearson Specter Litt, Jack Soloff (John Pyper-Ferguson) who was silent for so long will start coming after Harvey after he gets a promotion as the head of the Compensation Committee.
Meanwhile, his second-in-command, Mike (Patrick J Adams), has his own problems to face, especially with his would-be father-in-law. Now that he and Rachel (Megham Markle) are engaged, Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) deems it necessary to give Mike some unsolicited advice that would lead to an argument between the couple.
"Suits" season 5 episode 2, titled "Compensation", which will also feature guest star and NBA champion Charles Barkles, can be watched on the livestreaming site Hulu and the USA Today website.
