Will Smith is all set to play the role of Deadshot in "Suicide Squad." The actor recently revealed the reason why he decided to become part of a comic book film. During a press conference for his film "Focus", the actor said he wanted to explore the concept of "dubious morals".
"I always liked to play in that area. With Suicide Squad, we just started on that. I think I haven't explored the psychology enough of Deadshot, somebody who could take money to kill people; how he justifies that for himself," he revealed according to Movie Webb.
The actor also was all praises for director David Ayer. He said that the director sends his cast the ideas about their characters as he wants them "to be prepared" for anything. Smith is reportedly yet to read the screenplay of the film so he did not give out any hints about plot of the film.
Meanwhile, Margot Robbie who will play Harley Quinn in Ayer's movie was also present at the "Focus" press meet. She said that she has no idea what relationship will the characters have with each other. She also said that the relationship is "ever-changing".
"I'm really looking forward to it. We're not being secretive, we just actually don't know," she added.
"Suicide Squad" will bring the comic book supervillians together who will be tasked by the secret government agency to perform a dangerous task in exchange for a shorter prison term. The film is scheduled to be released on 5 August, 2016. It stars Smith, Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, Cara Delevingne and Jessie Eisenberg. The film is currently in the pre-production stage.
