Director David Ayer surprised fans of "Suicide Squad" by releasing a leaked trailer of the upcoming superhero film on Saturday, 11 July, at the San Diego Comic Con 2015.
During his unexpected visit to the International convention, Iyer said, "I got a little footage I wanna show you guys. We have been working really hard but unfortunately lot of people with iphone were running around and grabbing it. So this is something I found on the Internet that I would like to show you."
The sneak peek video gives a glimpse of all the major characters in the ongoing movie project, including The Joker, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Amanda Waller, Enchantress and Deathstroke, according to Huffington Post.
It begins with the shot of "How to Get Away with Murder" star Viola Davis' character, discussing about the new project of the secret government agency.
Viewers also catch a glimpse of Margot Robbie's character, who is seen performing gymnastics inside a prison that has high level of security. The clip also shows Cara Delevingne's character looking outside her prison.
The leaked trailer ends with the shot of Jared Leto as The Joker. The character tells to the camera, "I'm not gonna kill ya! I'm just gonna hurt ya, really, really bad."
After playing the footage, Iyer invited the superhero film's cast members, Karen Fukuhara, Adam Beach, Delevingne, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Davis, Robbie and Will Smith, to the stage. However, actor Leto did not appear at the Warner Bros Comic Con panel.
"Suicide Squad" is scheduled to hit the screens on 5 August, 2016.
