DC's upcoming super-villain movie "Suicide Squad" starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and Viola Davis promises to be one for the history books. As is the case with most comic book-based movies, hardcore fans are craving for every grain of gossip and spoiler.
What is known for sure about "Suicide Squad" is that the story will begin with Deadshot or Floyd Lawton (Will Smith) and Harley -Quinn's (Margot Robbie) meeting, albeit by accident. Deadshot, who was contracted to kill an Arkham inmate, gets cuffed up along with Harley when she tries to set her beloved Joker (Jared Leto) free from the asylum. Both villains are then sent to Belle Reve prison, where the tough warden Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), makes them join a "suicidal" task force.
However, the actual problems arise when Deadshot and Harley meet their new teammate in "Task Force X" or the "Suicide Squad". Boomerang (Jai Courtney) and Deadshot will first have to bury the hatchet – or the bullet in their case -- when it is revealed that the latter killed Boomerang's father.
According to a source, the first mission of the suicide squad is to prevent the sale of "bio weaponry" between a human trafficking gang and Lex Luthor. Meanwhile, another source revealed to Latino Review that according to a draft of the script, the suicide squad, which was supposed to steal a weapon ends up capturing a woman called June instead. She has a split personality, of which one is that of a sorceress.
According to rumours, Leto's joker will mostly remain locked up in a cell and while he may not be part of most action scenes, Leto is not taking any short-cuts when it comes to his character's appearance. Leto posted a picture of his blond self on Instagram with the caption, "Transformation begins."
