In what could be a shocking news for Kannada audience and Sudeep's fans, the Sandalwood star has decided to end his marriage with wife Priya Radhakrishnan.

The couple approached a family court on Friday, 11 September, seeking divorce by mutual consent. It is reported that Sudeep had issued general power of attorney to his sister, who appeared on behalf of him, as he is busy with the ongoing KPL (Karnataka Premiere League). 

After being in love for some years, Kiccha Sudeep and Priya Radhakrishnan tied the knot 14 years ago and have an 11-year old daughter named Saanvi. As per the reports, his wife has sought the custody of the daughter, a condition the actor has agreed to.  

There are reports doing rounds that Sudeep will pay Rs 19 crore as divorce settlement. However, the actor has refuted these rumours. 

Sudeep has also requested the media to give them the much-needed privacy in such a time. He said that they are partying ways due to irreconcilable differences and he wants to end the issue with dignity. He requested people not to blow the issue out of proportion as it is his personal life.

The news has come as a big shock to Sudeep's who celebrated his 42nd birthday on 2 September.

On the professional front, Sudeep is getting ready for the release of his Tamil movie "Puli", which will hit the screens on 1 October. Apart from this flick, there are quite a few big films in his kitty.

KS Ravikumar's "Mudinja Ivana Pudi" will be his next release, followed by a movie each with Prem and Ram Gopal Varma.
