Street Fighter V, the fighting video game from developer and publisher Capcom, was released on Feb. 16 for PCs and PS4.
However, it is being reported that the game's online functionality has been affected due to some server issues. Capcom reached out to fans, saying it was aware of the issue and was working to resolve it. "We are aware of the server issues that are affecting the online functionality of SFV, and are working towards a quick resolution," it said.
Sometime later, the company confirmed that it had "identified the issue that caused the servers to go down" and will be restoring the servers back, "momentarily," it said in a tweet.
Gamepur reported that players were getting "Cannot Connect to Live Server Error 2100d" error message.
The game will feature 16 characters from veteran World Warriors and some new fighters. The game will also see some new techniques like V-Skills and Crush Counters. Street Fighter V will also feature cross-format play with PC players.
The company also revealed that the players will be receiving a free cinematic story expansion as a free update in June 2016. Apart from this, the company assured that the players will be getting game-play content, costumes, new challenges and balance system updates in 2016.
Capcom noted in the press release that the players will be able to earn post launch gameplay content for free. These can be earned by completing various in-game challenges and receiving in-game currency called Fight Money.
Other who cannot wait for that long can shorten the process and buy using Zenny, the in-game currency.
The Players will have to wait until March to get some new game content where a new World Warrior, Alex, is added to the roster.
