Ryan Prodigal Son Hart has won hundreds of fighting game tournaments, hes a four-time Guinness World Record holder and the UKs best-known professional fighting game player. He has been playing competitive Street Fighter for more than 20 years, so it is safe to say he knows a thing or two about Capcoms legendary series.
In Street Fighter 5, the development team at Capcom has taken things back to basics, rebuilding the games fighting mechanics to create a game thats more accessible for casual fans and newcomers –especially compared to the various incarnations of Street Fighter 4, which came with quite a large barrier to entry.
With this in mind, Hart to popped into the IBTimes UK office to talk through how a newcomer can master the basics of Street Fighter 5, while also taking me on at a few games. No prizes for guessing who won. He also spoke to about how the game will impact the professional gaming scene, which sees seasoned veterans fighting for huge cash prizes around the world.
Street Fighter 5 is out now on PS4 and PC. You can read our review of the game here.
