Horror comedy Stree is having a fantastic run at the box office and the movie has now crossed Rs 50 crore mark by the end of Day 6.
Starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor among others, Stree has had a decent opening day collection of Rs 6.83 crore at the domestic market. The film witnessed a good jump in its business on the second day, earning Rs 10.87 crore.
Continuing the excellent performance at the box office on Sunday, Stree collected Rs 14.57 crore and ended the first weekend on a happy note. With strong word of mouth and positive reviews, the movie maintained its momentum over the weekdays as well.
Stree collected Rs 9.70 crore and Rs 6.37 crore on Monday and Tuesday respectively, taking its collection to Rs 48.34 crore. Being short of the half-century mark by less than Rs 2 crore, Stree crossed the milestone conveniently on its day 6.
The film performed even better than recent Rs 100 crore films like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Raazi as far as the first-week collection is concerned.
Stree collected Rs 6.55 crore on Wednesday, taking its 6 day total to over Rs 54 crore.
"#Stree is SUPER-STRONG on Day 6... Wed biz is HIGHER than Tue and almost at par with Fri... Truly UNSTOPPABLE... Fri 6.83 cr, Sat 10.87 cr, Sun 14.57 cr, Mon 9.70 cr, Tue 6.37 cr, Wed 6.55 cr. Total: ₹ 54.89 cr. India biz [sic]," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
Although the movie clashed with Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se, the former simply whitewashed the Deols starrer at the box office. With such pace, it is being believed that Stree will soon cross Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian box office.
