Stranger Things season 1 was undoubtedly a big hit, and now season 2 has been hinted to be on another level of craziness.
Netflix's science fiction series in one of the most popular TV series in recent times. The cult drama is a tribute to 1980s horror and science fiction genre that tells the story of a group of kids who search for their missing friend.
As the story unfolds, it is found out that the missing kid is trapped in a terrifying alternate dimension and is being chased by a blood-thirsty monster. Hence, with so many amazing elements, fans are unsure whether season 2 of Stranger Things will top its predecessor or not.
However, Shawn Levy, one of the producers of Stranger Things, has assured that not only season 2 will be better than the first one, but it will also be next level crazy.
"A lot of Season 2 is next-level, some crazy stuff," Levy said. "But we must service these characters who are now beloved, who are known to the audience."
Nevertheless, Levy admitted that the brilliant response to Stranger Things season 1 put a lot of pressure on the creators to come out with something better than it.
"Yes, the pressure is on. It would be so blatantly disingenuous of me to say differently. It's scary to have people love something this much. It becomes impossible to banish all thoughts of not wanting to disappoint. This has been the challenge of it: on the one hand as we've see in the movie world, to do a follow-up that feels like the same thing is disappointing to an audience; to abandon things or change things [from the original], that disappoints the audience."
Stranger Things season 2 is expected to release in early 2017.
