The second season of Netflix's science-fiction series "Stranger Things" is surely going to be darker, scarier and more thrilling than the Season 1 as the next season will explore the further elements of the Upside Down world.
In the first season, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) had eliminated the monster that resided in the Upside Down world, after which she disappeared. However, recent rumours state that more creatures and residents of the Upside Down world will surface in the upcoming season and they will sneak into the real world.
The monster, which was named Demogorgon (one of the monsters from the popular board game Dungeons and Dragons) by Will Byers (portrayed by Noah Schnapp) and his friends, wreaked havoc in the real world as it went on a killing spree. Hence, fans are excited to find out what would happen if multiple such monsters enter the real world and create pandemonium.
Reprising their respective roles from the first season will be Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), and others. Matt and Ross duffer, the creators of the show, have also confirmed that there will be four more actors joining the cast of Season 2.
Though it is still unclear whether Eleven will return from first season or not, the Duffer brothers have assured that Eleven or no Eleven, the series will be as captivating and thrilling as the first season, even more than that. However, several speculations suggest that Eleven will return and play a key role in exploring the world of Upside Down in Season 2.
Unlike the first season, where most of the story premise was based in Hawkins, Indiana, Season 2 will take the viewers outside of the town and the plot will cover more expanded world. The second season of "Stranger Things" is scheduled to premiere in 2017 on Netflix. An exact release date has not yet been announced by the network.
