"Stranger Things," the new Netflix Original is arguably one of the best TV shows to have premiered this summer. The sci-fi mystery's recently concluded Season 1 opened and ended with hints, teases and several clues. Perhaps it is this story-telling technique that got many hooked to this period show. To be sure, Season 1's end did little to offer closure to fans' burning questions, but the show's creators have been dropping several hints about the plot, characters and their story, much of which might be included in "Stranger Things" Season 2.
One plotline that fans could witness in Season 2 is Eleven and Hopper's strange relationship. The Sherriff of Hawkins, Indianapolis, will develop a strong relationship with Dr. Brenner's test patient. One popular theory argues that Hopper's interest in Eleven results from the fact that she is his daughter.
A Gamesradar article argues that this theory justifies the Sherriff's interest in Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). In addition to this, cast member Brown told IGN that she would like to see Hopper's story in "Stranger Things" Season 2.
The British actress added, "I'd really hope that they'd explained what has happened and explain Hopper's backstory and what happened to his child and how did he feel? And I know they kind of explained that but I want to know where I came from..."
Matt Duffer also revealed that the second installment of the Netflix TV show will focus on Hopper and Eleven. The creator of the period drama said Hopper will be ridden with guilt and much of this will result from the fact that he "sold out" Eleven.
"Have there been sightings in the woods or is he hoping she's out there or has he already made contact with her? We don't answer any of that, but we like the idea of potential putting her and Hopper together," he added.
Although the Netflix show hasn't officially been renewed for another season, the Duffer Brothers don't seem particularly concerned about it. Matt and Ross Duffer, the co-creators of "Stranger Things" detailed what will happen when the show returns for another instalment. In their words, Joyce, Will, Mike and the rest will reel from the after-effects of the events that transpired in Season 1 and there will be a time-jump.
