Last week, reports surfaced confirming that "Supergirl" Season 2 would air on The CW — the same network which airs the other DC shows "The Flash," "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow." Following this exciting development, fans can now definitely expect to see more crossovers involving Supergirl, Flash and Arrow.
In fact, during a recent interview with Loaded, Amell seemed rather hopeful about the prospect of Oliver Queen aka Arrow sharing screen space with Melissa Benoist's Supergirl.
"I think that it's highly likely that if you have four DC superhero properties on one network, that is an opportunity that may not exist again and certainly hasn't ever existed in the history of television. I would expect that we would do something," he said.
Talk then shifted to Amell's brief stint on "WWE" last year, where a clash between him and Stardust built up to a pretty entertaining and impressive "SummerSlam" match.
When asked if the actor was keen to return to the ring for another round, he said: "I love the WWE so much and I was so honoured to take part in SummerSlam. I would love to go back and do WWE stuff. I think some of the chances I took, when I dove off the top rope, I didn't tell anyone from Warner Bros or Paramount that I was doing that! So if I went back they would probably want some assurances that I'd refuse to give them so we'll see. I may have to be done with both Turtles and Arrow before I step back in the ring."
Amell will be seen next on the big screen in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2," which releases on June 3, 2016.
