Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi officially unveiled the new generation flagship handset Mi4 in a glitzy event at National Conference Center, Beijing on 22 July.

Xiaomi Mi4 sports a 5.0-inch full HD (1920x1080p) display with Sharp/JDI OGS (One Glass Solution) full lamination and ships with 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 series quad-core processor, Adreno 330 graphics engine, 3GB LP-DDR3 RAM, 16GB/64GB eMMC v5.0 inbuilt storage.
The new Xiaomi phone also boasts a 13.0-megapixel main camera and an 8.0-megapixel Sony front camera with CMOS sensor and a high-capacity Li-Ion 3080 mAh battery, which can last for one-and-a-half day.
Other value-added features include water-repellant nano-coating and multiple customization options like leather, wood and fabric based back-covers, just like Moto maker option available for Moto X in USA.
Xiaomi Mi4 16GB and 64GB models costs ¥1,999RMB (around $322/€239/₹19,400) and ¥2,499 RMB (around $400/€300/₹24,300) respectively. The new Xiaomi phone is expected to go on sale from July 29 in China. However, there is no word on when the company plans to release Mi4 in India.
