The Salman Khan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan affair may have gone kaput over a decade ago, but they still have a strong impact. They have moved on in life and gone separate ways, but sadly, often make it to gossip columns.
According to a Miss Malini report, the two stars bumped into each other backstage at the Stardust Awards. Apparently, when the "Sarabjit" actress was making her exit after receiving her award for "Jazbaa", Salman was entering the premises.
The Indian Express wrote that the exes were seated away from each other and made very strategic entries and exits throughout the night. In a profession where work gets done in studios and sets, it's very difficult to really avoid someone without knowing what's scheduled in the other person's planner.
In 2006, the two almost came face to face at the screening of Ravi Chopra's "Baabul". Interestingly, bystanders at the event told Mumbai Mirror the former lovers almost met. Another highpoint of the episode was when Abhishek Bachchan and Salman hugged each other.
"Salman offered snacks and a soft drink to Abhishek, and they were seen chatting amicably. Salman wanted to sit with the Bachchans. But it was evident that Abhishek was looking out for someone all along," the insider informed the leading daily.
Salman apparently tried his best to avoid his former girlfriend the rest of the evening and watched the movie standing at the exit. "Salman went to the Red Lounge with Amitabh, Rani and Ravi Chopra for a photo session, and left immediately after that, because he had to catch a flight to Malaysia to attend Global Indian Film Awards (GIFA)," Girish Wankhede of Cinemax had said.
In other news, the superstar is currently working on Ali Abbas Zafar's "Sultan", while Aishwarya is busy with Omun Kumar's "Sarabjit".
