The franchise fans are desperate to watch the reunion of Skywalker siblings. The Canadian-Chilean author Pablo Hidalgo, who is part of the Lucasfilm Story Group, also discussed the possibilities of a reunion between the two.
However, industry insiders claimed that Mark Hamill is unlikely to share screen space with Carrie Fisher in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. So what lies ahead for the two lead protagonists of the movie?
Rey's Training Section
The Jedi Master could be busy training the highly Force-sensitive Jakku scavenger, but it will be quite different from other training sections. According to Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh, Luke will just observe Daisy Ridley's character getting her trained and he will only interfere if she needs some guidelines.
"There is a training element to it, but it's not exactly what you would expect," stated the Youtuber quoting director Rian Johnson.
General Leia Organa-Kylo Ren reunion
Zeroh claimed that Star Wars VIII could feature an emotional reunion between Carrie Fisher's character and her son. He stated that one of the big moments for General Leia in The Last Jedi would be the reunion with her son once again.
"At some point between Star Wars 8 and Star Wars 9, one of the big scenes is supposed to happen between Kylo Ren and his mother. Lucasfilm and Disney have not revealed if Carrie Fisher shot this scene or if we will see it in The Last Jedi," the theorist said referring MovieWeb.
Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo and Man In Black
Meanwhile, two of the mysteries characters to be introduced in the upcoming movie are Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo and the Man In Black, played by Puerto Rican actor Benicio del Toro. The Youtuber stated that both of them are likely to move against the Skywalker siblings.
"I think that Laura Dern's character wants to take over the Resistance and General Leia's position. For DJ, he has something to offer and he wants something from the Resistance that he wants to use against the First Order. He might be somewhere in the middle," stated Zeroh.
Additionally, several leaked details indicate that Yoda and Darth Vader could appear as force ghosts in Star Wars: The Last Jedi to guide Rey and Kylo Ren. However, nothing is confirmed.
