The makers of "Star Wars 7" have been keeping the plots of the much-anticipated film under wrap but spoilers have revealed potential plot details, suggestting that Benedict Cumberbatch would be seen in a cameo.
The "Sherlock" star has been speculated to star in J.J.Abrams' film for a long time but he has not confirmed the report, claiming in one his interviews that he was never offered a role.
"This is the simple truth. J.J. [Abrams] and I have worked together before. I would love to work with him again. No offer has been made. That is that. And that is that," he told Access Hollywood in an interview.
However, a source has told Star Wars 7 News that he has "legitimate" information about the Benedict Cumberbatch's role in the film. The source added that Warwick Davies would be playing a Cantina Musician, while Simon Pegg would play an alien though it is not confirmed yet.
It may be recalled that Pegg had said in an earlier interview that he loves "Star Wars" movie but didn't want people to leave theatre after looking at his face.
"I feel like my face in Star Wars would pop people out of the movie. Look, I love Star Wars, and I don't want people to watch and go, 'Oh, there's Simon Pegg's face," he told Vulture.
Simon Pegg's comment led to speculation that he would appear in some weird costume in the film, which would leave people amused. Moreover, it has been suggested that his character would go against Daisy Ridley's character and Chewbacca.
Meanwhile, it is reported that "Star Wars 7" is set in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. A letter that read: "From the deserts of Abu Dhabi, to the Forest of Dean, to the stages of Pinewood, you have risen to every challenge was reportedly sent to the cast and crew of the film after they finished the film, hinting that the film was shot in the forest.
