Here is some good news for all Suriya fans.
The audio launch of Suriya's most-awaited film "Singam 2" is going to be a star-studded affair.
Buzz is that Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn and Kannada film star Sudeep might be gracing the occasion to be held on 2 June. It has to be remembered that both Ajay and Sudeep reprised Suriya's "Singam" role in Hindi and Kannada, respectively.
"Singam", which was released in 2010, was one of Suriya's biggest blockbuster films. Subsequently, the film was remade in Hindi, Kannada and was dubbed in Telugu - all of which turned out to be box office hits. In particular, the Hindi version did great business and joined the elite ₹100-crore club.
Earlier, it was reported that the audio launch of "Singam 2" would take place on 1 June but it was postponed to 2 June. The trailer is also expected to get released on the same day. Prominent film celebrities from Kollywood would also be attending the event.
Suriya will be seen reprising the role of a tough cop, Dorai Singam, in the sequel "Singam 2". Last Thursday (16 May), the first official teaser of the film was released on YouTube. The video fetched massive response from visitors. More than 14 lakh visitors (till date -1,465,194) have viewed the teaser on the video sharing website.
The teaser shows Suriya bashing up the baddies. The actor also delivers powerful punch dialogues reminding us that that the film would be a racy-action thriller.
Actress Anushka Shetty who played Suriya's love interest in "Singam" once again features in the sequel, while Hansika Motwani plays the other female lead. The rest of the star cast includes comedians Vivek, Santhanam; Nassar, Vijayakumar and Mukesh Rishi. Prakash Raj, who played the baddie in the original, will not be part of the sequel.
The film's music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. K E Gnanavel Raja will be producing it under his Studio Green banner. "Singam 2" is slated to get released on 14 June.
