Star Screen Awards 2016: Shah Rukh Khan didn't co-host last segment of the show with Salman Khan because he was disappointed?

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were hosts of an eventful Star Screen Awards 2016. The superstars were to come together for one last segment, when the Dear Zindagi star chose to walk out of the show.

Now, his sudden exit has raised questions if he was offended for not being picked winner for any of the categories or had to excuse himself for the late-night Raees shoot he seemed so thrilled about on social media?

"The show will be aired on December 31st so SRK and Salman were to do a segment for the New Year at the end of the show. They were to do some act on a tractor. However, Shah Rukh left before that and Salman hosted that part alone. It is not clear why he left but it was after the main awards - Best Actor - was announced. Wonder if he was upset that he didn't win any award," an insider informed DNA.

Shah Rukh is beyond awards and recognition. The actor has worked for over 25 years in the Hindi film industry and doesn't need any trophy to validate his credentials. However, quite a few of his fans weren't very pleased with the Star Screen Awards 2016 winners' list.

The audience, in their tweets, expressed disgust that films like Sultan, Rustom and Fan (which was undoubtedly one of Shah Rukh's best performance till date) was royally ignored at the ceremony. Also, it was being thought that Sonam Kapoor would walk home with the Best Actress trophy, but that went to Alia Bhatt for her stellar show in Udta Punjab.
