Although Star Parivaar Awards 2016 initially opened with comparatively low unique views, the viewership gradually increased and reached its peak between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Coming to the geographic distribution of viewers, Gujarat stands tall with 14.4 percent of total viewership followed by Maharashtra with 13.9 percent. Other states where Star Parivaar Awards 2016 was viewed the most are Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, with 11.2 percent, 8.1 percent and 7.3 percent viewership, respectively.
On the other hand, "The Kapil Sharma Show," which had West Indies cricket team's popular player Chris Gayle making an appearance in the episode aired on May 28, attracted an audience of 32 million viewers. Considering that Gayle has a massive fan following in India, the hugely watched "The Kapil Sharma Show," witnessed a massive viewership on May 28.
The geographic distribution of viewers of "The Kapil Sharma Show" reveals that Maharashtra had the highest share of 14.3 percent, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 11.6 percent. Other states where the show was viewed the most are Gujarat, Delhi and Rajasthan, with 10.9 percent, 7.5 percent and 7.1 percent viewership, respectively.
