The 15th edition of Star Parivaar Awards was held in Mumbai on 17 May, and it was a star-studded event.
The event honoured some of the talents from Star Plus and saw the presence of some of the channel's iconic characters too.
While everyone had a fun time at the awards function, a few of the popular stars were upset with the team of Star Parivaar Awards.
Earlier, Divyanka Tripathi aka Ishita of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" made news when she was angry with the organisers for giving her difficult steps to perform despite her fractured leg. And, on the day of the awards function, the actress' jewellery also got stolen.
Divyanka was supposed to sport the accessories during a particular act. However, before she could wear it, the jewellery went missing from her vanity van.
When asked about her stolen jewellery, Divyanka told Daily Bhaskar: "Yes, it is true and honestly, I am feeling so bad after this incident happened. First of all, the management was so bad that you cannot understand whom to blame and who not. I was given such a small vanity van which had a single lock. There were so many expensive stuffs inside my vanity and those jewelries were one of them. I felt like, it just got misplaced under my eyes."
The actress further said: "Those expensive jewelries were sponsored by one of my friend. She was so eager to see me in those jewels and performing on the stage. Honestly, if those were my personal belongings, I wouldn't have mind so much. But, it's really disappointing."
The entire team of dance reality show "Nach Baliye 7" was also present at the event. But according to a report in Bollywood Life, judge Preity Zinta, who was supposed to make an appearance, apparently chose not to show up at the last minute.
Further, Rupal Patel aka Kokila Modi from "Saath Nibhaana Saathiya" struggled to get her entry pass to the awards function until the last moment. Only after her name was announced as the winner in the Favourite Saas category, the organisers arranged a pass for the actress.
Popular star couple Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali also attended the event; but Mahhi chose not to enter the function, rather wait for Jay, who walked the red carpet.
