The 15th edition of Star Parivaar Awards that was held in Mumbai on 17 May honoured some of the talents from Star Plus and saw the presence of some of the channel's iconic characters.
While fans are eagerly waiting for the award function to be aired on television on 14 June, reports have been doing the rounds that "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actor Karan Patel, mimicked Shah Rukh Khan at the event.
The popular actor who bagged the Star Parivaar Digital Sadasya (Male) award, appeared on the stage sporting a black shirt, a pony tail and spectacles, resembling that of the superstar.
It is known that Karan admires SRK, hence he is imitating the "Raees" actor doesn't come as a surprise.
However, when the same was asked by Telly Chakkar, Karan denied saying, "Not at all. It is the way I dress up, but if it turns out the way SRK dresses too, it's a coincidence. I've admired him and his work all my life. Being even this close to the way he dresses and looks is a big thing for me."
Even fans of Karan shared his and Shah Rukh's pictures on Twitter with striking resemblance.
"Whoever came up with that has a mind that functions wondrously. I wouldn't have even thought of this," the actor added.
Besides, Star Parivaar Digital Sadasya (Male) award, "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" bagged maximum awards. Divyanka Tripathi walked away with three trophies. Ruhanika Dhawan aka Ruhi, bagged the favourite "Chota Sadasya award".
