Ekta Kapoor's new venture "Kasam...Tere Pyaar Ki" has been creating a buzz ever since popular actor Ssharad Malhotra was roped in to play the lead role. "Kasam...Tere Pyaar Ki" will showcase the eternal love story of Rishi (played by Ssharad) and Tanushree (played by Kratika Sengar).
"Love is a sentiment that appeals to viewers of all kinds. We have showcased different shades of love, and with 'Kasam...Tere Pyaar Ki', we are raising the bar with a narrative that will rewrite the course of life for Rishi and Tanushree. We are happy to partner with Ekta Kapoor's production house; their expertise in showcasing love sagas is unparalleled," Manisha Sharma, programming head of Colors' channel, told the Times of India.
The 33-year-old actor will play the role of an impudent 20-year-old Rishi belonging to a Punjabi family, residing in Mumbai. Rishi falls head over heels with Tanushee. However, tragedy strucks the couple even before they could fulfill their dream of being together.
"Kasam...Tere Pyaar Ki" redefines every known shade of love. It explores a deep-rooted connection between souls, binding Rishi and Tanushree's hearts from childhood and continuing, across lifetimes, long after destiny separates them. The show instills freshness through its intensity of emotions, which combined with a distinctive backdrop, will find appeal amongst romantics and convert non-believers," Ekta said.
Besides the lead actors, the show also has Zuber K Khan, Roma Bali, Vibha Chibber, Vijay Kashyap and other popular actors in pivotal roles. The team is reportedly shooting in Panchgani, Maharashtra.
"Kasam...Tere Pyaar Ki" will start March 7 and will be aired Monday to Friday at 10 p.m. on Colors Channel.
