SS Rajamouli has finally opened up on his issues with producer Allu Aravind during the making of their movie Magadheera. The director, who is basking in the success of Baahubali 2, has stated that he was upset with the producer over trivial reasons.
In a candid interview, SS Rajamouli has claimed that he got into an agreement with Allu Aravind before the start of Magadheera that at no point they would spread inflated box office numbers and extend the film's run in theatres beyond a period.
Taking the example of his Simhadri, the director told in the interview that even after the movie completed 175 days in theatres, the makers of Junior NTR's film decided to extend its run for 10 more days. This irritated him as the flick was already a blockbuster and extension was not required at all. He wanted to put a full stop to this trend with the support of Allu Aravind.
However, Allu Aravind failed to keep his words. Bowing down to the pressure from the fans and distributors, he supported the forceful extension of Magadheera in theatres. Also, the director was not happy with the inflated box office numbers spread by the makers.
SS Rajamouli was upset with the development and decided to boycott the 100 days celebration of Magadheera.
The director said that he politely told Allu Aravind about his stand and the producer understood what SS Rajamouli was going through.
