The makers of the magnum opus "Baahubali" have finally announced the release date. The director of the movie, SS Rajamouli, released a video on Wednesday in which he said the first part of the two-part film will be released on 15 May.
The director added that they have completed shooting of the film except one song sequence.
"Today the whole 'Baahubali' team is very happy because except for one song, we have completed the entire talkie at last. I am also happy to announce that we are getting ready to release Baahubali part one on 15 May," said SS Rajamouli in the video.
"Baahaubali" is an epic film, which is simultaneously being made in Telugu and Tamil. The movie is touted to be the most expensive in the history of Indian cinema, with a budget of ₹175 crore.
The movie has a highly impressive star cast comprising Prabhas, Rana Duggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Sudeep, Satyaraj, Ramya Krishnan, Adivi Shesh, Nassar, Tanikella Bharani and Subburaj.

The cinematography of the movie is being done by KK Senthil Kumar, while Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao is taking care of editing. PM Satheesh would do the sound design and Peter Hein is handling stunt sequences for the war movie.
The makers of the movie, which has lot of importance for set design and art, have roped in Sabu Cyril for production design and Manu Jagadh for art direction.
The screenplay of the movie is by SS Rajamouli himself and the story has been written by KV Vijayendra Prasad.
The Telugu dialogues of the movie have been written by Ajay-Vijay combination and the Tamil dialogues are by Madhan karky.
The big budget movie is being produced by Prasad Devineni, K Raghavendra Rao and Shobu Yarlagadda.
