Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan have done three films so far — Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om and Happy New Year — and a fourth is on its way, apparently. The choreographer-turned-director wanted to work on a small film with Parineeti Chopra and Alia Bhatt in the lead, but it has now been put on hold for now as the actresses do not have free dates for the next year.
Meanwhile, Farah has begun work on a fresh script that will reportedly have SRK in the lead. Much like their last films, this one too will be made on a lavish budget and shot on lavish sets, an insider informed DNA.
"The one with SRK will be a typical Farah Khan film with lavish songs and grand locales. It's a romcom, which is their forte. People are assuming it's a sequel to Main Hoon Naa, but it's a different story," the source further elaborated.
This comes a few months after Farah confirmed that her low-budget film will be backed by Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment and that he will be responsible for hand-picking the female leads. "Shah Rukh Khan is producing the film. He was supposed to do casting for me but he is in Prague shooting for his film (referring to Imtiaz Ali's next). So, let's see now," Farah told the media earlier this year.
In other news, will SRK have time to produce another one when he has already so much on his plate? Dear Zindagi, produced by RCE, is doing good business both in domestic and global circuits and now he has Raees coming up. Scheduled to be release on January 26, 2017, Raees is a crucial film and is expected to help the superstar get his box office mojo back. Also, Shah Rukh will be jointly producing Imtiaz Ali's next, which is out on August 11, 2017.
