On a day when almost the entire Bollywood A-listers showed up at Hema Malini's doorstep, for her daughter Ahana Deol's wedding, the absence of both Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol's raised a few eyebrows.
Actors Sunny and Bobby missed out on the star-studded wedding of their half-sister Ahana on Wednesday, despite their father Dharmendra being present for the function.
The strained relation between the two families has always been an open secret. In fact, Sunny and Bobby had also skipped Esha Deol's marriage to Bharat Takhtani in 2012, citing busy shoot schedule reasons.
Rumours of the Deol brothers evading the posh ceremony had surfaced several days before the marriage.
Surprisingly enough, this time actor Abhay Deol, Dharmendra's nephew, also missed out on cousin Ahana's wedding. The star, whose recent release "One By Two" is struggling at the box office, had attended Esha's marriage, with girlfriend Preeti Desai.
On Sunday, Ahana posed as the glowing bride in a pinkish peach Manish Malhotra lehenga, with partner Vaibhav Vora, a Delhi-based businessman. Her elder sister Esha sported a one-shoulder red gown and appeared along with husband Bharat.
Ahana's parents Dharmendra and Hema were seen welcoming the star-studded guest list, which included Amitabh Bachchan along with wife Jaya, son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya, superstar Shah Rukh (on crutches), veteran actress Rekha, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Juhi Chawla with husband Jay Mehta, Diya Mirza, Sonakshi Sinha with mother Poonam, Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi, Asha Bhonsle, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, industrialist Anil Ambani with mother Kokilaben and wife Nita, SP leader Amar Singh, Bappi Lahiri, Madhoo, Shiv Sena chief Udhhav Thackeray and wife Rashmi, designers Manish and Neeta Nulla, who had contributed to the wedding attires.
