'Srimanthudu' total worldwide box office collection: Mahesh Babu starrer's lifetime earnings at Rs 144.45 crore

Superstar Mahesh Babu's "Srimanthudu" has done record breaking collection at the worldwide box office in its lifetime and has become the second all-time highest Telugu grosser. 

"Srimanthudu" is a family drama film featuring Mahesh Babu and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. Written and directed by Koratala Siva, the movie is about the son of a millionaire, who adopts a village and brings changes in the people. Its message on giving back to the society has inspired rich people across the globe to take up the similar initiative.

Mythri Movie Makers has co-produced "Srimanthudu" with Mahesh Babu, who has become a producer with the movie. Made on a budget of more than Rs 50 crore, the film fetched Rs 79 crore from the sale of its various rights such as distribution, satellite, music and dubbing in other languages, according to the Andhra Box Office.

"Srimanthudu" released in over 2500 cinema halls across the globe on 7 August and opened to an overwhelming response everywhere. Despite clashing with some big ticket Hindi, Telugu and Tamil movies, the film did superb business at the global box office in the following weeks. It even beat the life-time collection records of "Attirinitki Daredi" and "Magadheera".

"Srimanthudu" is estimated to have grossed a total of Rs 144.45 crore at the worldwide box office in its lifetime, according to the Andhra Box Office. Its theatrical rights were sold for a whopping Rs 55 crore and the film has got back Rs 85.2 crore to its distributors, who are all thrilled over its performance.
