The spy shots of ready-to-be-shipped Yamaha YZF-R3, indicating that the launch of the bike in India is not far off.
Snapped by BikeAdvise reader Rahul in Mumbai, the latest spy shots show Yamaha R3 bike in dealer-dispatch-ready form. Although there is no concrete information about the launch of Yamaha R3 in India as yet, the repeated sightings of the model in public tell us that the company surely has plans to bring the model here, may be sooner than we expected.
For the uninitiated, powered by a 320cc inline twin-cylinder DOHC engine, which can pump out 42 PS of power and 29.6 Nm of torque, sportsbike R3 comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. R3 can attain a top speed of 187 kmph and can accelerate 0-60 kmph in 2.89 seconds and 0-100 kmph in 6 seconds.
Stopping power comes from 298 mm disc up front and a 220 mm disc at the rear and the bike gets telescopic forks in the front and monoshock at the rear. When launched in India, Yamaha R3 is likely to be priced around ₹3.3 lakh.
