TVS Motor Company is expected to bring its racing bike the Akula 310 to the Indian market in this fiscal. Ahead of its arrival in the market, the company is putting its new offering the Akula 310 through some serious tests on the Indian roads.
The TVS Akula 310 has been caught on camera once again, this time while it was cruising through one of the busy roads in Bangalore. The video was uploaded on YouTube by a user named RoadRunneR. The test mule of the bike was caught on camera earlier too testing in different terrains.
TVS Akula 310 is expected to enter production by the end of this year and if rumours are anything to by, bike lovers in India would get a chance to swing their leg over the new racing bike in early 2017. The company has already started teasing the model in India
TVS had showcased the Akula 310 at the Auto Expo 2016 in February. While the Akula 310 is the name of the concept, rumour has it that the production-version of the bike could be called Apache RTR 300 or TVS Raptor.
The Akula 310 is expected to be powered by a 310cc engine, which is capable of producing 34bhp of power and might be mated to a six-speed gearbox. This is the same engine that does duty in the BMW 310 R motorcycle the company revealed last year. At the auto show, the Akula 310 was seen with USD forks, lightweight carbon fibre bodywork and digital speedometer. It was being said that the company might cut down some of the features from the production-spec model to keep the price in check.
