India's low-cost airline SpiceJet has once again come up with ₹1 tickets and this time one lakh seats are up for grabs. Tickets under the "Red Hot Spicy" offer can be booked on the airlines' Apple iOS and Android mobile app only.
The booking, which started at 10 am on 15 July, will remain open till 17 July midnight only for domestic flights.
The tickets are available for ₹1, excluding taxes and fees, only on round-trip flights and is valid for travel between 15 July, 2015 and 31 March, 2016. However, the fare of the return tickets will be at regular prices.
"SpiceJet announces the return of its Re 1/- airfare sale! More than 1,00,000 one-way tickets are available at just Re 1 (excluding taxes and fees). Round-trip purchase is required, wherein the other leg of the journey is at regular fares," PTI cited an excerpt from the release.
"This sale is only available through our hot new mobile app for Apple iOS and Google Android. So hurry, download the App today, because tickets available under this sale are limited!" SpiceJet's chief operating officer Sanjiv Kapoor said.
Under the offer, passengers cannot book more than two round trips and tickets bought are non-refundable (statutory taxes are refundable) and non-changeable, the airline said.
