Spice Stellar Glide Mi438 Budget 3G Smartphone Launched in India; Availability, Price Details

Home-grown smartphone company Spice expanded its Stellar series with the launch of its latest entry level smartphone, dubbed Stellar Glide (Mi-438).The smartphone comes with Google Mobile Services (GMS) certification.

Priced at ₹5,199, Spice's new offering in the smartphone market has 4-inch display with OGS (one glass solution) technology (screen resolution unspecified) and is powered by 1.3 GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512 MB of RAM. The Glide Mi-438 packs 4GB of in-built storage, which is further expandable by upto 32GB with microSD card and supports connectivity features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, AGPS, EDGE, GPRS and 3G.

The smartphone houses 2.0-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset comes loaded with 1350 mAh battery, which claims to deliver up to 170 hours of standby mode and 4.5 hours of talk time and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box OS. The smartphone is available for purchase at the online retailer Saholic for a price of ₹5049.

Recently, Spice launched Stellar Mettle Icon Mi-506 in India. It is a dual sim(GSM+GSM) 3G smartphone and sports 5-inch FWVGA capacitive display with 854 x 480 pixels resolution, powered by 1.3 GHz dual-core processor paired with Mali 400 graphics processor and 512MB RAM. Other features include 4GB internal storage (with an expandable option), 8.0-megapixel main camera with LED flash, 1.3-megapixel secondary camera and supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, and GPRS/EDGE. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS and host features like Pop-up Play, Intelligent Answer, Flip to Mute, and Direct Call.
