Indian technology company S Mobility has released a budget quad-core smartphone called Spice Coolpad 2 Mi-496 on Sunday (7 July).
The new handset is now the available at the Spice Group owned online shopping site, Saholic for ₹9,499.
Spice Coolpad 2 Mi-496 sports a 4.5-inch TFT LCD display with 960x540p resolution and runs on Android v4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS. Under the hood, it packs a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory backed by a 1700 mAh battery.
It also ships with single 5.0-megapixel camera on the rear-side, a bit disappointing considering the fact that other smartphones in the same sub-₹10,000 class feature dual cameras.
It is to be noted that this smartphone is the second co-branded device of S Mobility and Chinese OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Coolpad. Last month, they had released the first handset, Spice Coolpad Mi-515. It is available at Saholic for ₹9,989.
