Spice is embracing the fast-growing competition in the budget smartphone category by launching a new variant. The new handset is almost identical to the original Stellar 526 but boasts of latest technology to compete with rivals in the same category. Spice Stellar 526n packs the biggest change under the hood, with its integration processor.
According to Spice, the new Stellar 526n is powered by octa-core processor clocking speed at 1.4GHz. It is an improvement from 1.5GHz Hexa-core Mediatek MT6591 processor running on the original Stellar smartphone. Besides, all other specs remain intact such as a 5-inch HD display, 8GB ROM, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear-facing camera with autofocus and LED flash, 3.2 front snapper and a 2,500mAh battery.
With its impressive camera, Spice promises HD recording that uses Clear Motion technology to capture motion-blur free videos. It is also offering up to 280 hours of standby and no lags during gaming or using any other apps.
"Our customers are at the core of our company's strategy and we always strive to introduce products that delight our customers. Following up on the excellent response to our Stellar 526 smartphone, we decided to introduce a faster Octa-Core version of the phone with excellent specifications for technology enthusiasts seeking a combination of cutting edge technology and style," said Prashant Bindal, CEO, Spice Mobility Ltd, in a statement.
Spice runs its own HotSpot outlets across India where the Stellar 526n will be sold alongside other smartphones. Stellar 526n will also be available across major retailers and online via Saholic, a venture of Spice group.
Priced at ₹7,999, which is almost identical to the current selling price of original Stellar 526, the latest Spice smartphone will come with a free flip cover and in White and Pebble Blue metallic finish colours.
