Former Miss World turned actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is yet to give birth to her first baby with husband Abhishek Bachchan but speculations are rife that she has delivered a baby boy. To stop unnecessary rumors, Amitabh Bachchan has said that the news of Aishwarya delivering a baby boy is false.
"Getting congratulatory messages on Aishwarya delivering a boy!!! Guess they know more than even she does!! False and incorrect news," he posted on his Twitter page.
India's Broadcast Editors' Association (BEA) had earlier issued a 10-point guideline for television reporters to follow while covering Aishwarya's delivery news. That includes no pre-coverage of the event, running the story only after official announcement is made, and not treating it as breaking news.
However, people seem to have turned more curious due to the media's self-imposed restraint. The fact is that 'Aishwarya Rai baby' is one of the most-searched keywords on search engines. To be precise, it is the second most-searched keyword in India.
The Bachchans have chosen Seven Hills Hospital at Marol in Andheri for Aishwarya's delivery. She is expected to delivery her first baby this month.
