Leading smartphone-maker Xiaomi launched the new special edition Android One Mi A1 Red to mark the Christmas holidays in India on December 18.
The new Xiaomi Mi A1 comes in the visually appealing crimson-hued shell on the back and with black colour accents on the front panel. Rest of the features including design language and internal hardware remains same.
It flaunts a sleek metallic shell with a fingerprint sensor on the back and on the front. The Mi A1 sports a 5.5-inch full HD display protected by Corning Gorilla 2.5D curved glass cover.
Under the hood, it houses Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and a 3,080mAh battery.
As far as the camera is concerned, it comes packed with 12MP wide-angle primary snapper supported by a 12MP telephoto camera, having OV series sensor, dual-tone LED flash, optical zoom, full HD video recording, optical zoom, Bokeh effect via Portrait mode and on the front, it features a 5MP selfie camera with beautification features.
Xiaomi Mi A1 is powered by pure Android Nougat 7.1.1 OS with latest Google security patch and is slated to get Android Oreo very soon. Also, it is confirmed to get 2018-series Android P update, as well.

Special edition Mi A1 Red will be released in limited quantities from December 2 on Mi.com and Flipkart for Rs 13,999. It will also be made available at all Mi Home stores, Mi Preferred Partner shops, and retail partner stores, as well.
