Veteran playback singer SP Balasubramaniam, who has mesmerised music lovers in India with his amazing and unique voice, celebrates his 69th birthday on Thursday, 4 June.
SPB began his career as a playback singer with the 1969 Kannada film, "Pellante Noorella Panta", and has sung many songs in all South Indian languages and in Hindi within his 46 year-long career.
The National Award-winning singer has also been honoured with the top civilian awards of the country, including Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan.
He has also received Honorary Doctorate from Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Sathyabama University, Chennai, JNTU Anantapur and Andhra University.
