At least two people have been killed as an accident on a bridge in Incheon led to a massive 100-vehicle pileup near the Incheon International Airport, South Korea on Wednesday.
According to the police, an airport limousine bus crashed into a car at about 9:34 am (local time), which led to the massive pile-up, leaving two dead and more than 40 people injured, Yonhap News reported.
By 11.00 am, more than 40 people were found injured, and at least eight were in a critical condition, as rescuers tried to reach the cars on the 4,400-meter bridge that links the port city to an island where the airport is located.
Foggy weather and ice on the road may have led to the horrific accident, officials said.
"It seems the fog and speeding may have caused it," a police official told Yonhap.
