Japanese electronics major Sony at the international mobile convention MWC(Mobile World Congress) 2013 announced that its flagship ultra-slim tablet Xperia will be globally rolled out in the second quarter of 2013.
"2013 will be a breakthrough year for Sony in the mobile sector. We are delivering on our objective to combine the best of Sony for an outstanding user experience," said Kunimasa Suzuki, President and CEO of Sony Mobile Communications.
Sony has confirmed that the Xperia Tablet Z which was unveiled in January will be globally available from Spring 2013. It also confirmed that the Xperia Z smartphone will start its global roll-out from today, but details of availability in India are still under wraps.

The tablet is said to come in two colours: Black and White.
Sony's Xperia Tablet Z will come packed with advanced front and rear cameras capable of taking HD pictures and video. It also boasts a faster processor with ample memory space.
The new tablet, which will be available in a Wi-Fi only model and a Wi-Fi/LTE version, is priced between $499 and $599, reported ThinkDigit.
