Hype around the Sony Xperia Z4 has gained momentum with its release date getting closer. Several features of the device have been leaked over the last few weeks, and now, a benchmarking site has confirmed its key features.
The Sony Xperia Z4 will be powered by Snapdragon 810 processor, run on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, and come packed with 3GB RAM, according to Geekbench website (via Phone Arena).
The specifications revealed by the benchmarking site is in sync with earlier reports except the operating system, which many media house claiming that the device would come with Android 5.0 Lollipop and not the latest version, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
The device is expected to sports a 5.2-inch 1440 x 2560px Triluminos display, powered by Snapdragon 810 processor, run on Android 5.0 Lollipop, have a 20.7MP camera, and 3,400mAh battery, according to GSMArena.
Tech Radar reported that the Japanese electronics giant would launch the Sony Xperia Z4 Compact and the Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra with both having same features like Snapdragon 810 processor, 32GB internal memory and 3GB RAM, 20.7MP camera, IP68 water and dust proof certification, and LTE Cat 9 connectivity. However, the Compact version is expected to come with a 4.7-inch screen with 720p to 1080p resolution, while the Ultra version sports a 6.44-inch screen size.
Earlier reports had claimed the next-generation smartphone would boast of features like a 5.4-inch or 5.5-inch screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, Android 5.0 Lollipop, 32GB internal memory and 4GB RAM, 20.7MP main camera and 4.8MP front snapper, 3420 mAh battery, and Qi Wireless Charging.
The Sony Xperia Z4 is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) to be held from 2-5 March, 2015, in Barcelona.
