There were speculations about whether the much-hyped Sony Xperia Z4 would be unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2015 (MWC 2015) or pushed to some other date. But it is very likely to be announced six days from now.
Several reports have claimed that the Sony Xperia Z4 will be unveiled on the first day of the MWC 2015, which will kick off on 2 March in Barcelona and conclude on 5 March.
Gadget lovers and Sony fans are expecting big from the next-generation smartphone though it's been reported that the company might not organise a formal press conference or live streaming of its unveiling event this time.
Xperia Z3, which was released last year, was praised by critics and gadget lovers alike but it failed to boost the company in terms of business. Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai had said that it would concentrate on camera sensors and PlayStation units with an aim to increase its operating profit 25-folds in three years and didn't rule out the possibility of stopping its venture in television and smartphones.
However, the fate of the upcoming flagship device, the Sony Xperia Z4, can change Sony's future plans. The device is expected to come with significant feature upgrades.
According benchmarking site Geekbench (via Phone Arena), the Sony Xperia Z4 will boast of features like Snapdragon 810 processor, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, and 3GB RAM. It was also reported that the device would sport a 5.4-inch or 5.5-inch screen, 20.7MP main camera and 4.8MP front snapper, 32GB internal memory and 4GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, Android 5.0 Lollipop, 3420 mAh battery, and Qi Wireless Charging.
According to another report by GSMArena, Sony Xperia Z4 is expected to sport a 5.2-inch 1440 x 2560px Triluminos display, powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor, run on Android 5.0 Lollipop, house a 20.7MP camera, and come packed with a 3,400mAh battery.
