Sony Xperia Z1s, rumoured to be the international mini variant of the company's flagship 5.0-inch camera-phone Z1, has reportedly been spotted at a certification website.

Technology website Blog of Mobile, while traversing through the American government owned FCC (Federal Communication Commission) certification website, has stumbled up on a file containing a Sony phone code-named Amami, which is believed to be the Xperia Z1s.

The document contained phone's sketch detailing its physical structure and also revealed the handset was trialed under two OS versions with build numbers - 14.2.A.0.144 & 14.2.A.0.78, hinting the new variant may come with v4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box.

Though the certification site does not give away any key specifications as such, rumours are rife that Sony may keep key features seen inside the exclusive Japanese Z1 Mini variant Xperia Z1 f (SO-02f). It sports a 4.3-inch HD (720x1280p) display, 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM,16GB inbuilt storage, 20.7-megapixel camera with LED flash, 2.2 megapixel front-facing camera and a 2300 mAh battery.

With CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2014 just a few weeks away, many believe that this international electronics trade fair may witness the launch of the rumoured Sony Xperia Z1 Mini (international variant). The event is scheduled between 7-10 January, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
