Sony's 6.4-inch phablet Xperia Z Ultra will reportedly make its India debut by the end of July.
Before the company could officially launch the device, popular online store Saholic has listed the Xperia Z Ultra on its website mentioning that the big-screen smartphone will be made available on 31 July. However, the e-retailer is still tight-lipped regarding the price details.
The Sony phablet which is already up for pre-orders in Hong Kong is steeply priced at HKD(Hong Kong Dollar) 6,198, around ₹47,500.
Sony Xperia Z Ultra sports a 6.4-inch Full HD TRILUMINOS screen which boasts of new display technology X-Reality Mobile engine and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS.
Under the hood, it packs a super-fast 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor paired with Adreno 330 graphics engine. Memory wise, it houses 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage space which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.
Just like its high-end Xperia siblings, the new phablet also brags dust-proof and water-resistant IP55/IP58 certifications. Users can record Full HD videos under fresh water up to five feet for close to 30 minutes.
Xperia Z Ultra features an 8.0-megapixel camera with Exmor RS image sensor technology and 16X digital zoom with auto-focus and on the front, a 2.0-megapixel camera which is capable of recording 1080p full HD video.
Japanese electronics major had unveiled the monster phablet Xperia Z Ultra last month at the MAE (Mobile Asia Expo) 2013, Shanghai, China.
