Japanese electronics major Sony has rolled out the Jelly Bean update to all Xperia T smartphone users ahead of the new year.
According to Vietnam based website SonyViet, the Jelly Bean OS upgrade was rolled out to AT&T version of Xperia T (LT30at) and international version of Xperia T (LT30i) smartphones.
The official release of Jelly Bean OS upgrade for Sony Xperia T smartphone was slated for February next year.
The Vietnamese website claimed that the new OS update will boost battery life and will also improve the UI experience in Sony Xperia T smartphones.
Earlier this week, Sony had officially revealed the list of smartphones that are eligible for Jelly Bean upgrade. Other than Xperia T, 'Xperia TX' and 'Xperia V' are also set to receive the Jelly Bean upgrade during February and March next year.
Sony has also promised that other smartphone models like 'Xperia P', 'Xperia J' , 'Xperia go' would recieved update by the end of March. Other models like 'Xperia S', 'Xperia SL', 'Xperia ion' and 'Xperia acro S' would get the upgrade in the subsequent weeks.
The Japanese electronics company disappointed many smartphone users after it had decided not to give out updates beyond Android 4.0 OS (Ice Cream Sandwich) for certain Sony Xperia models such as 'Xperia U', 'Xperia miro', 'Xperia tipo', 'Xperia sola'.
