Japanese electronics giant Sony is reportedly working on new high-end Xperia series smartphone code-named C670X. It is even speculated that it could take on Samsung Galaxy S4, which is scheduled for release this month.
Sony community website XperiaBlog has revealed that the C670x smartphone will sport a 4.8-inch Full HD display powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600 processor.

By taking note of the above specs, the high-end smartphone Xperia C670x seems to be an improved version of company's recently released flagship model 'Xperia Z' albeit some physical size difference. Xperia Z sports a full HD display powered by a slower 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM and 8GB storage capacity, less than half the memory space of C670X model.
The Xperia C670X's specs also matches with rival HTC One, and many technology blogs opined that the new model has enough punch to compete with Samsung's upcoming smartphone Galaxy S4.
According to reports, the Xperia C670X is expected to hit global market as early as mid-2013.
